Thai Tea with Boba

 Thai Tea with Boba
There are many different versions of Thai tea. Typically it’s made with ceylon or black tea and flavored with star anise or tamarind. And almost always it’s topped with sweetened condensed milk. These are flavors that I probably would never have thought to pair together. But it’s awesome!

And there are lots and lots of places that will serve iced thai tea with boba. Boba is totally easy to make at home. Thai Ice Tea (the EASY version)
5-6 quarts water
2 cold brew black tea bags (I used Lipton)
5 star anise
1/4 cup brown sugar
Combine the water and cold brew tea bags for 3-4 minutes (according to your packages directions). Remove and stir in the brown sugar until dissolved. Add the star anise and refrigerate for 1 hour.
 Thai Tea with Boba
In a glass add a heaping spoonful of prepared boba, if using. Fill the glass with ice. Pour in the ice. Add a heaping spoonful of sweetened condensed milk, or more to your liking. Thai Tea with Boba
Serve with the condensed milk poured on top, or mix it in. Up to you. icon smile Thai Tea with Boba Enjoy!
